The Story
The Problem Fonon Technologies, despite its existing military focus, was hampered by a dated brand identity and the need to qualify its products under strict TAA (Trade Agreements Act) compliance. The biggest challenge was demonstrating a complex, groundbreaking concept—the Laser Security Anti-Drone (LSAD)—to military buyers when the physical product was still in development. Our competitors were failing with low-fidelity visuals.
The Solution We initiated a full brand refresh for Fonon and created the new, aggressive DefenseTech identity. To secure essential military contracts, my creative team focused on hyper-realistic 3D visualization and animation. We took the LSAD from concept to a stunning, photorealistic animated showcase, demonstrating its Lidar-scanned drone shield capability far beyond competitors' offerings.
This visual superiority, coupled with the creation of all supporting TAA-compliant marketing and sales collateral (from letterhead to custom bid materials), successfully propelled the Fonon sales team. During my tenure, DefenseTech products became the primary revenue driver for the corporation, and our custom product modifications (developed with partners, like the products shown in Ivan's portfolio) expanded our market reach within the defense sector.
